Personal Statement
As a Ukrainian who arrived in Toronto in 2022, I personally faced the challenge of not having a convenient and effective platform to connect with our local community. For new immigrants like me, it's often difficult to find new friends and acquaintances, especially when we're in an unfamiliar city.
I also noticed that it's very difficult to find Ukrainian businesses and services, such as family doctors, dentists, or other necessary services that would be provided in our native language. This creates additional difficulties in the process of adapting to a new place.
Having technical experience, I strive to create a platform that would solve these problems and become a true communication hub for the Ukrainian community in Toronto. I believe that through joint efforts, we can create a space where everyone can find support, necessary services, and new friends.
